Wojtaszek Residence - under construction- completion 2011 David Wojtaszek Crystal Cove, California
Here at this 9,000 square foot new custom home with basement, the underlaying concept is one that tells the history of an heirloom estate, going through presevation and transformation over generations of a family. The plan layout is classical but with its share of surprises with the intertwining of new and old. The entry wing and tower, reminiscient of an ancient stone farmhouse, express their stone strata and lintels by supporting openings in pure form. The rear "expansion" wing retains a more casual expression with a larger area of glazing, decks and loggias. The balance of the whole is achieved through skillful use of stone, plaster and wood detailing.
